Leadership Award

Ezinne Okechukwu Nwodo Leadership Award (EONLA)

The Ezinne Okechukwu Nwodo Leadership Award (EONLA) honours a legacy of service, integrity, and community leadership that continues to inspire positive change. Established in memory of our mother, Ezinne Anthonia Obiageli Okechukwu Nwodo, the Award reflects her lifelong commitment to uplifting others, strengthening institutions, and fostering unity across the Church and the wider community.

Throughout her life, she demonstrated that leadership is not defined by position, but by service, example, and responsibility to others. Her influence was felt across faith-based and community spaces, where she worked tirelessly to promote inclusion, moral leadership, and collective progress. Her leadership was characterised by humility, integrity, service, and an unwavering commitment to the common good.

The EONLA is designed to recognise Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) women in Amurri and Enugu Diocese, as well as other community leaders, who exemplify these values in their work and service. The Award celebrates individuals who:

  • Lead with integrity, humility, and purpose
  • Inspire and mentor others within their communities
  • Demonstrate initiative and resiliencein addressing challenges
  • Promote peace, cooperation, and ethical leadership
  • Contribute meaningfully to sustainable community development

By recognising leaders who embody these values, the Award seeks to encourage responsible, service-driven leadership and to reinforce the importance of leadership grounded in compassion, integrity, and community wellbeing within both the Church and the wider community.

Through the Ezinne Okechukwu Nwodo Leadership Award, the Foundation affirms its commitment to nurturing leadership that builds unity, empowers others, and leaves a lasting positive impact, just as our mother did throughout her life.
