About us

Honouring Their Legacy

The Foundation was established in loving memory of our parents, whose lives were defined by compassion, service, and an unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of others. They believed that true legacy is not measured by what one accumulates, but by the lives one uplifts and the opportunities one creates for future generations.

Guided by these values, the Foundation is dedicated to improving lives through accessible eye care, women’s health initiatives, and educational scholarships. These focus areas reflect the causes our parents held closest to their hearts—restoring dignity through health, empowering women to thrive, and opening doors to education for those with promise but limited means.

Our Objectives

Inspired by the values and compassion that defined our parents’ lives, the Foundation exists to serve others with purpose, integrity, and care. Our objectives focus on supporting accessible eye care, advancing women’s health, and providing educational scholarships to those in need. Through these efforts, we seek to create meaningful, lasting impact and honour their legacy through service to others.

Women's Health

The health of women is central to the health of families and communities. Yet many women face barriers to timely diagnosis, preventive care, and access to essential health services. Too often, manageable conditions go undetected until they become serious, life-limiting, or even life-threatening.

Eye Care

Eye screening is a quick, general test to check for obvious vision or eye problems. It does not diagnose an eye condition and should not replace a comprehensive eye exam.

Education for All

As an astute educator, our mother was highly devoted to educating young people for life-long success. Mom began her teaching career at Oji River in the 70s after resigning from the Nigerian Prison Service as a Warderess, and it spanned through to 2015 when she retired as a Headmistress of a well-recognised Primary School in Nkanu West. Throughout Mom’s meritorious years of service as a teacher, she worked in various schools and succeeded in training successful men and women in various speres of life.

Mom was a devoted teacher who believed that the best thing you could do to any child is to train the child and give him or her good education. With this, the child is made and ready to face the world…

Leadership Award

Ezinne Okechukwu Nwodo Leadership Award (EONLA)

Ezinne Okechukwu Nwodo Leadership Award (EONLA) is established to honour our distinguished mother for her immense contributions in providing leadership across many sectors during her lifetime, and to honour CWO women and other Community leaders who demonstrate excellence in leadership.

Our mother, Ezinne Okechukwu Nwodo was an astute leader in the Church and Community. She played a major role in the birth of Amurri Catholic Parish and was instrumental to many initiatives that enhanced the growth of Catholic Church in her hometown, Amurri.
